Wisconsin Cannabis Activist Network Honors Melissa Agard with Cannabis Reform Advocacy Award

Madison, WI – December 9, 2024 – Today, the Wisconsin Cannabis Activist Network proudly celebrated Dane County Executive Melissa Agard for her exemplary leadership and dedication to advancing cannabis reform in Wisconsin. During a special event held at Pinebox Cannabis Dispensary in Madison, the Network presented Agard with an award recognizing her contributions to social equity, economic development, and public health through her advocacy for progressive cannabis policies.

The award ceremony brought together advocates, community members, and supporters to honor Agard’s years of tireless work. Known for her deep commitment to addressing systemic inequalities and amplifying the voices of those disproportionately affected by outdated cannabis laws, Agard has been a pivotal force in Wisconsin’s cannabis reform movement.

“Melissa Agard has consistently demonstrated bold and compassionate leadership in the fight for cannabis justice,” said Jay Selthofner, Founder of the Wisconsin Cannabis Activist Network. “Her vision and dedication inspire us all to continue pushing for meaningful reforms that benefit individuals, families, and communities across our state.”

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to engage with Agard directly, gain insights from her advocacy journey, and participate in a group photo alongside members of the Wisconsin Cannabis Activist Network, Safe Access for Wisconsin and sponsors of the event.
