Understanding Membership Options and Signature Forms for Northern WI NORML

During a recent outreach meeting to the Fox Valley area, Northern Wisconsin NORML Founder Jay Selthofner addressed a large group of supporters that crowded into the Appleton Public Library.

Selthofner reminded the group of the existence of State and Regional Chapters of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws found throughout Wisconsin. Also noted was the importance of the historic Great Midwest Marijuana Harvest Festival held in Madison each October, which everyone is encouraged to attend.

Active membership is critical with any organization and Jay explains the different membership levels when joining Northern Wiscnosin NORML. As field directors work to find local support, membership is always on the mind and forms are just a click away.

Additionally, Jay explains the different signature pages used to support the current federal legislation and how activists will use them during their lobbying efforts with elected officials. Just as joining a chapter can be more than a donation with the membership form, Selthofner reminds supporters that more can be done than signing the form. He urges supporters to locate who represents them and memorize them, contact them and help serve as the educator in the process of democracy.
