Langer’s campaign labeled “quixotic” but legalizing marijuana labeled safer than alcohol
In a recent interview with Paul Knoff from WCCN Radio and subsequent report from Bob Hague, the Independent Candidate for the Governor of Wisconsin Jim Langer was back in the news after talking to folks in Loyal about his visions for Wisconsin, issues he would like to see brought up and what keeps him going on the campaign trail. The reporters give the impression Langer’s campaign is acting with noble desires by putting people first and people back into politics.
Langer had this to say on What keeps him going?
“Just the people that I’ve talked to, they all say they’re fed up with the parties, and I am as well. There’s good people on both sides, the problem is getting them to work together. If I don’t elected, but they take some of my ideas, guess what? I’ve won.”
And Langer has some interesting ideas. He’s all for legalizing marijuana.
“We had prohibition back in the thirties on alcohol. Guess what? It’s legal, somebody found a way to tax it, make money on it, and take a look at the problems we have with alcohol right now. I don’t see the problem with marijuana is anywhere near as severe as the problem with alcohol is.”
While on the other hand, the fight to legalize marijuana not not receive the same “quixotic” label in the story. Still another indicator that that marijuana legalization is not idealistic and unrealistic, but more reality and inevitable.
