Baldwin vs Lee, 2nd Congressional District in Wisconsin on marijuana at least

The Janesville Gazette recent reported on the race between Incumbent Tammy Baldwin (D-Madison) and Republican challenger Chad Lee of Mount Horeb.  The report did remind of us the back ground of the incumbent and the feelings of the newcomer on the issue of marijuana.  Baldwin has been known to support the reform of marijuana laws in her political career.

Baldwin is co-sponsor of a bill that would allow states to decide whether to allow medical marijuana without federal interference.

Lee a newcomer to the political circuit had this to say about marijuana:

Lee said marijuana laws should remain as they are. He said he has seen how marijuana has harmed friends of his.

Wisconsin’s 2nd congressional district is a congressional district of the United States House of Representatives in southern Wisconsin, covering Dane County,Green County and Columbia County, as well as portions of Jefferson County, Sauk County, Rock County and a small region of Walworth County. The district includes Madison, the state’s capital, its suburbs and some of the surrounding areas.
