August Milwaukee Marijuana March and Rally Planning Meeting

After the success of the Milwaukee venue of the Global Marijuana March organized by Southeastern Wisconsin NORML, they are going to plan another march/rally for August. Most likely August 17th.  In the meantime, the chapter is meeting at Gordon Park, Locust and Humboldt, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53212 from approximately 2pm until 5pm on Saturday May 18th, 2013 to discuss the August Milwaukee Marijuana March in more detail.  Please join them.

This will be the initial planning meeting for the August march.

Things we will be discussing at this meeting:
-Confirming that Aug 17th is a good date, or picking another
-What bands we should try to book
-What time the rally should start and end
-What time the march should leave
-Should we do the rally at the same location and have the same march path?
-Vendors
-How to not lose a ton of money on this march
-Where we should get equipment from (Stage, generator, sound equiptment; we used Area Rental last time, but if people know of less expensive options, that’d be great!)
-Promoting the march
-Other activities we should plan for the rally
-How to gain positive media exposure
-How to get attendees active in the cause
-Possible speakers

Think about those topics and bring your ideas to the meeting. Feel free to post your ideas below so we can start brainstorming before the meeting and have a head start.
