41st Annual Great Midwest Marijuana Harvest Festival

Activist Actions: Events, Networking and Updates on Wisconsin

Not every city or town is ready to be NORML. The importance of having local activists help with field work and promotion of meetings and events is important. If a stranger invites you a marijuana meeting you are probably not going to attend, but if your buddy states he is going to the library for NORML meeting and invites you to come, the results are more positive. Reach out to friends and family and become active if not already.

Two years ago, NORML meetings were not held throughout Wisconsin and the July 19th, 2011 meeting of Northern Wisconsin NORML had a huge turnout. Founder and organizer of the THC Tour, Jay Selthofner gives insights into what he uncovered during his recent field work in Wisconsin. By networking throughout the state, Jay provides update on activities in Wisconsin for July and August 2011, as well as a call for action to unite to reform marijuana laws.

Planning for The Great Midwestern Marijuana Harvest Festival continues with the announcement that Northern Wisconsin NORML will table and have their first booth at the annual event. Contact chapter leaders to get active or email NorthernWINORML@gmail.com to help out with Harvest Fest 41.

Individual supporters and community leaders in the Appleton and Fox Valley Area are urged to stay active and continue local awareness projects. Northern Wisconsin NORML has held annual events for two consecutive years. The Free 420 Concert in the Park and the Potluck Picnic and promote Free Fishing Weekend in Wisconsin with the state DNR. Both events have been successful and planning was laid to continue these events and coordinate another annual event in the Fox Valley Area.
