Grass roots politics
Janet Bewley for Assembly
Yes to medical marijuana but no to so-called synthetic marijuana—that from 74th Assembly District Democratic candidate Janet Bewley in the forum at the Great Lakes Visitor Center. Bewley says prescription marijuana is proven to help people with a variety of ailments and that a compassionate society can use doctor-ordered marijuana.
But herbal over-the-counter variety that mimics the affects of marijuana is a different story. Bewley favors local bans in Superior and Duluth.
Bewley’s opponent Republican Shirl LaBarre declined Wisconsin Public Radio’s invitation to last night’s debate.
