Join The Wisconsin Cannabis Activist Network and other cannabis justice advocates in urging President Biden to fully utilize his clemency powers to ensure the release of all remaining federal cannabis prisoners before the conclusion of his term.

Today, November 19, 2024, marks the National Day of Action for Cannabis Clemency (CannabisClemency.org) – a pivotal opportunity to transform advocacy into tangible outcomes. Time is of the essence. We strongly encourage you to take action by calling President Biden between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM CT today and amplifying the call for meaningful change.

Organizations like SSDP (Students for Sensible Drug Policy) have a simple script for you to follow, and encourage you to join us and call President Biden today and stand by the thousands of cannabis prisoners that deserve to be home with their families for the holidays.

CALL 202-456-1111

Script:
Hello my name is ___________ and I live in the State of _________________, and I am calling today to encourage President Biden to use his power as president to commute the sentences of thousands of people currently incarcerated for cannabis crimes.

President Biden promised to decriminalize cannabis and specifically to “Let everyone out, expunge records.”

I am asking you to make good on your promise before you leave office by freeing these prisoners and reuniting them with their family for the holidays.

You can do this with the stroke of a pen, and we ask you to do the right thing and leave a legacy as President you can be proud of.

Thank you
