In a past article I commented on the future of hemp, or should I say, the futures of hemp. I am referring to the article in which hedge fund managers were polled and allowed to comment about the often misunderstand plant.
Future
In polling hedge fund investors and fund managers all agree that they must begin doing their due diligence regarding investing in Hemp related companies. We must begin the process of understanding the metric’s and revenue sectors associated with this crop, whether used for medical or industrial purposes. Many believe – as I do – that Hemp is a commodity that will be traded and reside on the exchanges like wheat, soybeans and corn.
Nearly all consider legalization an economic boon for investors and operators and no longer consider politics to be a road block. I envision the day where Hemp experts sit alongside grain analysts on CNBC.
Marijuana’s legalization would simplify the development of hemp as a valuable and diverse agricultural crop in the United States, including its development as a new bio-fuel to reduce carbon emissions.
This past week, Jay Walter a Denver Cannabis Industry Examiner commented in his article on the booming marijuana business and the opportunities for investors as well as employment opportunities in a variety of sectors.
It was promoted as the first non-bias event that covers the Business, Legal, Health and Political issues dealing with legalized medicinal cannabis in the United States.
This panel discusses the size of the market, the economics of dispensaries and other businesses, and how entrepreneurs can position themselves for profit as the market expands.
In Wisconsin we look to the east and then to the west, then to the north and onto the south, wondering… as states go legal, who is going to supply all that marijuana?
