Appleton Post Crescent reader demands Doyle calls lame duck session on jobs and finish Wisconsin’s Industrial Hemp Bill

What some activists, citizens and legislators know as Assembly Bill 206 is back in the news.  For the folks who do not know the bill numbers by heart, AB206 is an Industrial Hemp Cannabis Bill.  Assembly Bill 206 is a jobs bill  and a reader from Wisconsin recently had a letter to the editor published in the Appleton Post Crescent addressing the bill and demanding a call for action.

After the state Assembly considered an industrial hemp bill this year, we have to ask what it means. In short, jobs. Jobs for scientists and farmers and clothing stores and manufacturing. We get jobs that will last for centuries, not decades. We can have a superfood — from hempseed sprouts — we can have fine laces for work clothes, paper and a cleaner environment. But first we have to demand Gov. Jim Doyle call a “lame duck” session of the Legislature to finish the bill into law. We need jobs, and this plant can do it. I say, let’s get working again.
