AD 58 Action Alert: Help Us Engage Both Republican Candidates Before the Primary

| | | |

Friends,

If we want to change Wisconsin’s cannabis and hemp laws, we have to engage candidates before they’re elected—not after.

With less than 30 days until Wisconsin’s August primary, we’re highlighting the Republican primary for Assembly District 58 in Washington County,  including the villages of Jackson, Newburg, and Slinger, and most of the city of West Bend.

This is a Republican-leaning district, making this primary especially important. The candidate who wins the Republican nomination has a strong chance of becoming the next State Representative and casting votes on legislation affecting Wisconsin’s hemp industry, cannabis consumers, farmers, veterans, patients, and small businesses.

We’ve Done the Research—Now We Need You

We’ve created an election discussion and resource page on the new Wisconsin hemp industry community forum, where you’ll find candidate information, contact details, campaign links, and updates for this race.

This forum is quickly becoming Wisconsin’s central hub for cannabis and hemp advocacy, industry collaboration, and election engagement. If you haven’t joined yet, now is the perfect time.

Your Mission

Please reach out to both Republican candidates.

Ask them about:

  • Hemp regulation
  • Cannabis reform
  • Wisconsin farmers and small businesses
  • Consumer safety
  • Personal freedom
  • The future of Wisconsin’s cannabinoid industry

Share your own story. Explain why these issues matter to you. Keep the conversation respectful and constructive.

Candidates consistently say that conversations with voters during a campaign help shape the priorities they take with them to Madison.

This is exactly how grassroots advocacy works.

Help Build Our Collective Knowledge

After you’ve contacted a candidate—or if you attend a campaign event, receive a response, or learn something new—please come back to the forum and share what you learned.

Your feedback helps everyone.

By reporting back, you’re helping build a statewide knowledge base that allows activists, businesses, and voters to better understand where candidates stand before Election Day.

Together, we can create the most informed cannabis and hemp voter community Wisconsin has ever seen.

Every email matters.

Every phone call matters.

Every conversation matters.

And every report shared on the forum helps strengthen our movement.

Thank you for stepping up and being part of the solution.

See you on the campaign trail!
