Morning Jay: I have been following you in sorts and have to say I am in full support of your pursuit and goals. I recently printed off the 3 signature pages you had on your web site, and have some questions regarding them. Can I distribute them at random, like at my village library, post office and other public places, and second, is there an address as to where I can put on where the people signing them can mail them to, and third, where do I find out who is my county’s (Washington) Senator, Representative, and State Assembly. Thank you for all the work you are doing, God be with you and your family.
Morning Lori:
My fax is 920-294-6868
Or turn them back into us at any NORML meeting or other function I have.
NORML main site (and others), you can put your zip code in an area to find your reps, we have “widgets” or little areas on the side bar of our blogs also that has the zip code input.
There are also ways to submit a support statement online to elected officials using NORML and other sites.
If you hitting the streets, everyplace is different as far as rules, my library does let me post, but not all post offices do.
I do pass out the forms, but when I am canvasing a specific area, like say Washington County, I will find out who the reps are, note their “district” and make a flier just with their phone #’s, names and pictures on them, try to get local support to call and engage them.
Give me a call or email back if you need more information, my number is 920-410-2920.
We are looking for field directors in all counties to work with us on campaigns…again, thanks for reaching out and I hope to talk to you soon.
