Send your elected official a Hempy Valentine’s Day Card
on January 7th, 2012 at 8:21 PMWith Valentine’s Day approaching, I ask all you to join me and members of Northern Wisconsin NORML and send your elected official a Valentine’s Day Card/Email or even phone call and ask them to find it in their hearts to support marijuana reform. Not just medical marijuana, but I support legalizing all forms of hemp cannabis. I think it is about time we take the patients off the various battlefields in this war. I want our economy to have the option to grow hemp for food, fuel and fiber. I want our patients, doctors and healers free to medicate just like any other. I want our government to offer a SAFER choice than alcohol and nicotine by legalizing recreational cannabis.
In these trying times, economic recovery, job creation, developing alternative energy solutions and providing for improved public safety are critical. Legalizing Industrial Hemp, Medical Marijuana and Recreational Cannabis will help accomplish these agendas and provide funding for others.
Read more about and find printable sample cards at the Northern Wisconsin NORML Valentine Day Card Initiative at: http://www.northernwinorml.org/2011/02/09/norml-valentines-day-card-asks-legislators-find-hearts-support-marijuana-reform/

I did get a couple inquiries about this initiative and if others could do it in their state/area… and I say YES!! Thank you, go ahead… Let us know how it goes. Currently I brought the idea up before the board of Northern WI Norml and it is approved if the money is raised. Having 200 cards printed at the cost of $67.63 and postage is .32 cents on postcards, which is $64, Grand Total of $131.63 and we send a very Hempy green Valentine’s Day Card to all 132 State Senators and State Assembly Rep’s and 68 other elected/key candidates in Wisconsin.
The funding / donation came in (Thanks Brad!)… now we can get moving onto the next step.
Last year we printed our own and made them available to print. We also emailed many! This year the project is developing nicely. Onto this years design, including awareness for the Jacki Rickert Medical Marijuana Act (JRMMA)! Oh yeah…and labels or addressing them, any suggestions?
